Micro-credentialing is a hot area in Higher Education right now. However, as the scope and governance around it has not been clearly defined, individual institutions have their own take of this new type of qualification. There are broadly two types: 1) certifying the so-called “soft skills” such as leadership, teamwork and communication, as a way for graduates to distinguish themselves in their key strengths or employable skills; 2) certifying smaller unit of learning of disciplinary areas – this is probably more attractive to working professionals who are looking for a more accessible way to upskilling.

Behaviour change is MSDI’s most established training area which has seen a growing interest the past few years. This micro-credential falls into the second type – intended audiences are individuals or organisations (public and private) who are interested in applying behaviour change to achieve positive impact.

The course has been rolled out online, starting from June 2020.
